Life is not for the coward, the doubter, the frail It’s a rolling battle front of guilt and fear So put away your fainting heart, Pick up your shield. Life is not for the coward, the doubter the frail

Bicycle 03:45
Love is saying sorry first Telling the worst thought, “Uh-uh, no sir.” Life’s a game of chicken, love is first swerve Love is saying sorry first Love is sticking to your guns Holding the mirror ‘til the vision comes If life’s a game of chicken, love will never run 'Cause love is sticking to your guns It’s kinda like the pedals on my child’s bicycle The pedals lock beneath your feet, you try to make them go Push pedal against pedal, and then it starts to flow Into a forward cycle: confess, repent, grow Love is seeing ours not mine Fighting the world, not our own pride Life’s no game of chicken, that bird just doesn’t fly Love is seeing ours not mine It’s kinda like the pedals on my child’s bicycle The pedals lock beneath your feet, you try to make them go To move the bike along, one of those pedals must come low And start the forward cycle: confess, repent, grow..

She wears roses as bows in her hair She won’t walk, she will dance to get there And she tells me this world is all beautiful, Life is all beautiful, we are all beautiful When I wanted to run, she said, ”No!” When I just want to hide, she says “Grow!” Oh, she knows this world is all beautiful, Life is all beautiful, we are all beautiful Where’d you find that slice of sunshine? You’re the blue sky, wild and free How’d you learn that wild syncopation That simple sensation of being? She sees through a prism of light Rainbow color hidden inside She opens my eyes to the beautiful She knows just being alive is beautiful She throws her troubles away They’re not worth the thought that they take Even struggles remind her it’s beautiful Night brings a bright new day…beautiful Where’d you find that slice of sunshine? You’re the blue sky, wild and free How’d you learn that wild syncopation, That simple sensation of being? I wish I could bottle you up Put you high on a shelf they can’t touch. When the dark night hides all the beautiful, Retrace these lines in your heart It’s still beautiful

Forgeries 03:11
It was one too many smiley It was just too many lines - A Cheshire cat grin brushed on Mona Lisa’s smile And you wrapped up the canvas And you gave it with a kiss. It looks so close, When I squint I could hire an art restorer, With a mask and latex gloves With some brushes and solution To reveal what's covered up They would peel back the layers And clean away the grime. Or five steps back... And it looks fine... If relationships are galleries, I suspect a few emotional forgeries Michaelangelo, DaVinci, Munch, Magritte, And me. So… DaVinci was a genius. Well, he isn’t quite my style. All those drab browns highlighting that elusive smile Your enhancements are moving towards What I prefer to see A better version of Reality If relationships are galleries, I suspect a few emotional forgeries. Michaelangelo, DaVinci, Munch, Magritte And me. If relationships were galleries, I detect a few inconsistencies. Michaelangelo, DaVinci, Munch, Magritte And me.

Vivi 03:21
Vivi, O Vivi, O you are so pretty Your eyes are a Summer sky I wish I could know just what you’re thinking Behind that smile Born two weeks early, You were so worried that there was just too much to miss All was disorder, my wonder beholder, The world was your magic wish Hello to all that awaits To the wishes we have for a life full of grace Hello to happy mistakes To the mystery of each day Hello to all that awaits To the wishes we have for a life full of grace Hello to happy mistakes To the mystery of each day Vivi, O Vivi, O you are so pretty

Wake up, daylight, out the door again Work hard, try to feel like you fit in You say...You’re inadequate You say....You’re unloved You say….wearing thin, behind the clock And you're not enough Strange - the best man I have ever known Tells me he’s a fool when he gets home You say...You’re inadequate You say....You’re unloved You say….wearing thin, behind the clock And you're not enough I see beautiful I see beautiful And all you know is worn out soul So, you’re inadequate I wish you could see Your tired, weary, worn-out soul Is beautiful to me

Forever 04:09
Midnight on the telephone I’m calling you, cause I’m alone Now we’re alone - together Another passing, average day. In all the words, I heard you say You would love me forever You were like a grand Renoir You drew me in across the gallery Held me under a spell The closer I was drawn, Impressions started looking wrong I forgot the master’s sketch Forever, forever, forever You’ll love me forever forever Seconds turn minutes turn hours turn days Years are held together My mother once told me To be married happily you have to keep your eyes half closed I guess I disagree I want my eyes to fully see The falls, the flaws and still redeem the beauty of Forever, forever, forever I’ll love you forever forever Seconds turn minutes turn hours turn days Years are held together Midnight on the TV set We really out to be in bed We really oughta figured out this life by now We’re growing older every day My face is lined, your hair has grayed We’re growing older together Forever, forever, forever You’ll love me forever for forever Seconds turn minutes turn hours turn days Years are held together Forever, forever, forever Forever, forever, forever

I am Sorry 04:08
I am sorry, I forgot the heart I have wandered the easy way Played the part I was throwing at a target At the little bits of red Feel the weight as I flick my wrist A solid set Satisfied, I took the score Proudly went up to the board Turned away, I saw what 8 feet away I missed Your living heart I am sorry I forgot the heart I have wandered the easy way Played the part I spoke with tongues of angels Solved the riddles of the world Poured myself out for the weak Without love, all it was noise I am sorry I forgot the heart I have wandered the easy way Played the part
